Manny began his OTB career in the dark ages of online acapella: lip-syncing ‘Fix You’ and sending in deadpan audition tapes where you can see ALL the way up his nostrils (pro tip: the video still exists on YouTube). This was soon followed up by a semester-long hiatus during which he was pretending to be able to speak Spanish… but he’s finally back! And oh boy, look how far he’s come. Now an integral part of OTB, Manny’s presence—both vocally and socially—has been absolutely essential to the group’s success this semester. Through his dedication to the work, commitment to the direction of the group and (sometimes) being on-time for rehearsal, Manny has truly stepped into a leadership role that desperately needed filling. Tonight, we have the pleasure of experiencing Manny embodying his personal icon, Miley Cyrus, so don’t be too blown away when he drops it low once or twice ;)
